Hong Duc University works with the Delegation from DiMora Enterprises, USA

On the morning of 21st May, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh An, Rector of Hong Duc University and leaders of faculties and divisions warmly welcomed the delegation from DiMora Enterprises, USA, led by Sir Alfred J. DiMora, founder and president of DiMora Enterprises and Sir Ho Huy – President of Mai Linh Group, on training qualified human resources for electric automobile production in Nghi Son, Thanh Hoa province.
 
On the morning of 21st May, 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Manh An, Rector of Hong Duc University and leaders of faculties and divisions warmly welcomed the delegation from DiMora Enterprises, USA, led by Sir Alfred J. DiMora, founder and president of DiMora Enterprises and Sir Ho Huy – President of Mai Linh Group, on training qualified human resources for electric automobile production in Nghi Son, Thanh Hoa province.

Speaking at the meeting, Sir Alfred J. DiMora – President of DiMora Enterprises appreciated HDU leaders and staff taking their weekend time to work with the delegation. He also made a brief introduction about DiMora Enterprises and expressed investment wants into projects such as electric automobile production, solar panel production, intelligent city in Vietnam, etc. of which the Dimora Electric Automobile Program, in cooperation with Mai Linh Group, will develop and manufacture full-electric 5 seater and 7 seater electric taxicab automobiles, tailored to meet the needs of the market in Vietnam.DiMora will design full-electric powerer, 5-and 7-passenger automobiles to meet world class standards for safety, and clean energy utilization, i.e., electric. They will be manufactured in and by the people of Vietnam with affordable price targets, making them affordable for Vietnamese market.

At the meeting, two sides discussed the cooperation in training qualified students who are able to satisfy Enterprises’ requirements; building joint training programs in cooperation with prestigious Univiersities in Ha Noi then moving forward signing a training contract;

Prioritzing the training and the recruitment of Thanh Hoa labor force in support of electric automobile production for the Vietnamese market. 

Electric automobile production has been conducted in initial phase of 3-year itinerary from now on to 2019, DiMora Enterprises will start to design and manufacture first electric automobiles in Thanh Hoa for Vietnam market. Therefore, two sides emphasized the urgency and importance of training and recruiting the legions of professionals, engineers and experts with high qualifications for the project.

After the meeting, Delegation also visited faculties of IT and Communications, Technological Engineering as well as laboratories and factories to make detailed plans for next phases of project.
